Join us for the 2026 ACTS Commencement… in Egypt!
Saint Athanasius and Saint Cyril Coptic Orthodox Theological School (ACTS) is honored to announce that our official ACTS Commencement ceremony will be held on May 23, 2026 in Egypt, marking a significant moment in the life of the institution and its graduates. In fact, those who qualify to graduate in 2026 will have the special blessing to walk across the stage and receive their diploma from His Holiness Pope Tawadros!
This celebratory event will also include a Papal Commendation & Blessing Ceremony—an honorary recognition and blessing offered by the His Holiness Pope Tawadros to ACTS graduates who have already earned their academic degree from Saint Athanasius and Saint Cyril Coptic Orthodox Theological School. This portion of the event does not confer an additional academic degree for those who have already received it from ACTS. Rather, it is an honorary ecclesial recognition—a formal affirmation by the Church of the formation you have received, accompanied by a papal blessing.
Why This Matters
For more than a decade, our graduation ceremonies have celebrated academic achievement. This ceremony is distinct in nature and purpose. It is a rare opportunity for the Church to publicly commend ACTS graduates for their completed studies and encourage their ongoing vocation and service in the Church and the world.
